• 1. Is there a warranty?
    • Branded Spaces provides a warranty for a (1) year period; if the sign product is determined to be defective, the manufacturer will repair or replace any and all defective parts.
    • Branded Spaces provides a limited warranty on temporary signs based on material and workmanship only for 10 days. Temporary signs such as banners, posters, yard signs, car magnets, foam board signs, tablecloths, flags, window decals, car decals, a-frames, tents, and stickers are amongst the temporary sign category and should be treated as such. Due to exposure to unlimited conditions, including harsh weather, they cannot be guaranteed against damage or wear. If a recommended method of installation or storage was not followed, partner reserves the right to void any warranties.
    • Branded Spaces does not warranty “vandalism, misuse of signage, or extreme weather conditions” (earthquakes, hurricanes, thunderstorms, lightning, snow, high winds, and tornadoes).
  • 2. Will Branded Spaces install?

Yes, Branded Spaces has a national network of preferred vendors we work closely with to execute on and deliver quality results for all client projects. Installation will be listed on the proposal as an itemized line item. In the event that installation is declined, Branded Spaces is not responsible for any complications, damage, or product failure that is the result of improper installation.

  • 3. What are the maintenance needs?
    • In order to keep your signage looking new and fresh, you must take proper care of it.
    • All indoor signage can be dusted with a dry, non-abrasive cloth. In most cases, indoor signage can be cleaned with a water-dampened, non-abrasive cloth. In some cases, a mild soap and water mixture can be used. In no circumstance should any harsh cleaners be used on any signage.
    • Maintenance care instruction will be provided based on the individual project.
  • 4. How long will the project take and what is the process?

The average project takes about 3 months to complete. This time includes the initial briefing, concept, site survey, design, proof, production, and installation. The complexity of the project and total number of signs within the project will affect the overall timeline.

  • 5. What is the signage made of?

Materials are determined by the environment they are going into and may include:

    • Acrylic
    • Aluminum
    • Banner
    • Corrugated plastic
    • Fabric
    • PVC
    • Magnetic
    • Vinyl
    • Wood
  • 6. How are city and township permit requirements handled?

We understand that individual cities and townships have signage ordinances, and we are well versed in researching and procuring permits. Upon request, Branded Spaces will work directly with your city to obtain the required approvals and paperwork to produce your outdoor sign. Permit procurement will be listed on the proposal as an itemized line item.

  • 7. Whom will I work with on the project?

At the onset of your project, an experienced project manager will be your single point of contact throughout the process. The project manager will oversee every aspect of the project.

  • 8. What do I need to do to get started?

With every new Branded Spaces project, we want to understand what the organization wants to accomplish with the signage project. This will help us make the best signage recommendations. It’s also helpful to understand the general budget allocated for the project. Once we understand the goals, we ask the clients to provide the following digital files. If this information isn’t readily available, we can collect at a later date.

    • Photos of target areas
    • General measurements of space
    • Vector EPS logo file(s)
    • Brand PMS color(s)
    • Inspiration photo(s)
  • 9. What are the various costs I can expect within the project?

While no two signage projects are the same, clients may see the following costs associated with their individual signage project.

    • Product
    • Site visit (if needed)
    • Technical drawings (if needed)
    • Permit procurement (if needed)
    • City permit fees (if needed)
    • Design
    • Project management
    • Shipping & handling (if needed)
    • Travel & rentals (if needed)
    • Installation (if needed)
  • 10. What is a site survey and why do I need it?
    • A site survey is a step in the process to obtain accurate measurements and other needed information for production and installation purposes. In most cases, we recommend the completion of a professional site survey to prevent production and installation issues.
    • We work directly with our local vendor partners to obtain accurate site survey measurements for all projects.
    • We ask that the client is available at the beginning of the scheduled site survey to walk through the targeted areas and signage locations that need surveying. After the initial walkthrough, the vendor will be able to complete the survey without further assistance.
  • 11. Why should we choose Branded Spaces over a local or franchise sign company?
    • Branded Spaces is a division of Hanlon, an award-winning digital marketing and branding agency. We strive to continue the brand experience for our clients in their physical spaces.
    • We have a tenured group of team members proficient in project management, design, production, and installation.
    • Branded Spaces offers a full suite of signage, print, and digital marketing offerings. Our team members work together, under one roof, to take on clients’ challenges and work collaboratively to develop cohesive and thoughtful signage solutions.
    • Branded Spaces has a national network of preferred vendors, which allows us to work on multi-location projects efficiently. In some cases, one of our team members will travel to the destination to plan or manage different components of the project.
    • We understand brand management and the importance of consistency across messaging, positioning, logo usage, colors, photography, and other brand elements.
    • We have a consultative approach to project management. We take the time to understand the project and client goals, and make recommendations for your branded environment to maximize both budget and impact on your target audience.
    • We are your go-to partner for any and all questions in regards to your project and budget planning. It is our goal to ensure our clients are fully aware of what’s happening and where the project stands week to week. We provide project status updates on estimates, strategy, design choices, materials, build, budget, installation dates, etc.; we do our best to over communicate rather than under communicate.
  • 12. How does our facility prepare for installation?

Specific preparation instructions will be provided prior to the signage production. Below are general recommendations and preparation guidelines for most sign installations.

    • Painting: We recommend 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of semi-gloss to gloss paint for vinyl wall applications. Paint should cure for a full 2 weeks prior to a vinyl wall application.
    • Noise: Inform your facility of the date of the work being performed and that there may be some intermittent noise throughout the day (drilling/hammering/etc.). We do our best to keep noise to a minimum; however, in cases where drilling is required in associate workspaces our onsite project manager will give the site lead notice along with timeframe so they can inform their associates and plan accordingly.
    • Space for Setup: In most cases, our team will need a designated area to hold boxes and tools, as well as unpack and prep signage materials during the day of installation.
    • Trash Removal: Our team will dispose of packing/crate material upon completion of the sign installation. The project manager will coordinate with the client contact on the appropriate receptacle needed.
    • Access: Our installation team will need access from the exterior of the building to the installation area throughout the day.
    • Onsite Point of Contact: An onsite contact name and direct telephone will be needed so that our team can communicate the status of the project throughout the installation and conduct a final walkthrough.

    • Branded Spaces was launched as a division of Hanlon in July 2018. We’ve planned and implemented several large facility branding projects in upwards of 250,000-square-foot spaces already and have worked with clients like AmerisourceBergen, Asplundh, Good Neighbor Pharmacy, Ryder, MassMutual, Bernardo Wealth Planning, and the Phoenixville Area School District.
    • Hanlon, an award-winning branding and digital marketing agency located just outside of Philadelphia, PA, was founded almost 20 years ago. Hanlon decided to branch out with its branded environments business segment due to the popular demand for corporate branding in the workplace that associates and visitors alike can see, feel, hear, and touch. Branded environments and experiential design is an emerging need for businesses to drive client and employee engagement.

  • 17. Do we need landlord or building management approval?
